In his “Arkhitektons” sculptures, Kazimir Malevich tried to show that the eternal laws of architecture always underlie the function’s changing demands. The “Arkhifactory” boxes evoke the architecture of Russian constructivist factories. Materials such as walnut wood and a metal such as brass, together with pure three-dimensional volumes and shapes, allow us to reinterpret and combine simple harmonies where small or large treasures can be hidden.
